Mike Caso
Mike
Caso grew up in southern New Jersey and started playing the accordion
at the age of 6. Mike bought a Farfisa organ and played in his first
rock and roll band at the age of sixteen (1975) . At the age of 18, he joined his
first club band and played clubs in "South Jersey". At 19 (1978), Mike
went on the road with a show band out of Providence, Rhode Island
playing the hotel circuit through-out the country. In 1980, he helped
form a theatrical/comedy/oldies show band in Philadelphia. There he
played at the "Jersey Shore" with the Dovals, Danny and The Juniors,
Bill Haley's Comets, The Drifters and The Classic's. After the summer
of 1980 he went back on the road eventually playing an
oldies club in Daytona Beach called the Garage Lounge in 1982.
Mike formed
a house band in 1982 (Macarthurs Park at the "Garage Lounge"), then
went on to play different loungs and restaruants throught out the
area.
Mike now
does solo work as well as playing with local musicians round the
Daytona Beach area. Working during the day Mike is comptroller for Paradise Manor II Assisted Living.
